Some Progress with the Ward!

ok guys Im gonna keep it short because I forgot my recorder today. First off transfers! Elder Mich is gonna have to put up with me another month and a half haha! We are excited to continue working together!

Second off the ward! This week we had a really cool activity to leave and go visit all the less actives (its pretty much a way to put all the family home teaching for the month in 1 day haha) and it turned out super well. We recieved a handful of referrals of part member families that are interested to hear us and this activity really helped the ward to see how fun sharing the gospel is. We are planning to do another one before april conference and this week we have an activity doing a combined family night with the whole ward. These activities are starting to melt the ice cap that has been covering this ward, also since elder mich and I got here we broke the 7 month stretch without baptisms so now the ward is starting to get motivated. That is really good because we cant keep doing everything alone.

Third off, I love yall. I know this gospel is true and I know that prayers are answered. I am so gratefull to be a missionary, I really try to use every moment to the fullest because it goes by so fast. I love my Savior Jesus Christ to whom I am eternally indebted and I am thankful for his infinite atonement!

God can cure us.

Alright so the batteries on the recorder died so I will have to buy some today but this week I will just give you guys the highlights.

We have been working our butts of trying to get the ward to start helping us out and our diligence is paying off, we are starting to recieve some referrals and this week we were able to find some of them.

We also had a small miracle in that we were walking towards our backup plan when one of our appointments fell through and an old guy called us over. We went and talked with him and he asked us to pass into his house and pray that God would cure him. We entered and offered a prayer and after his daughter started making a ton of questions, we taught her the message of the restoration and she was super golden and accepted baptism!

HUGE MIRACLE! We visited a less activy family that we found on the ward directory to try to see if someone there is not a member and if we could teach him or her. Brother Gomez asked us to give his wife a priesthood blessing. Sister gomez is like 80 and is really sick and cant walk. (They have been inactive for 20 years) When I gave here a blessing the spirit entered the room and I felt impressed to bless her that she would not feel pain until the Lord brought her back to his side. After the prayer brother Gomez started to cry. We asked what happened and he said as I started the prayer he felt the bench get a bit heavier as if someone sat down with him and he assumed it was my companion so kept his eyes closed. He said as I was finishing the bench got lighter and he heard this person get up and walk away. When he oppened his eyes he say that both my companion and I were standing up the whole time with our hands on sister gomez's head and looking back he didnt see anyone. NOBODY WAS IN THE HOUSE OTHER THAN THE 4 OF US. Brother Gomez knew in this moment than an angelic messanger had been present with us in that blessing although none of us say him.

Also on Sunday turns out we were assigned to give talks in the sacrament meeting although they forgot to tell us haha. We just winged it but it went really well, I based my talk about the importance of missionary work in every stage of the plan of salvation.
I love you all, hope you have a great week

Sometimes answers take time!

I forget to mention in my recording. Fabrizio Mendoza had his operation this week and it was successfull. They did have to cut his lung and leave it smaller so the recovery time will take a bit but he is really great! These next few weeks they should all get back and be baptized!
